1st Edition Metal Raiders Booster Box: What to Know Before Buying
Metal Raiders (MRD) followed Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon in 2002 as the second English Yu-Gi-Oh! booster set. For collectors building a run of the original sets, a sealed 1st Edition MRD box is the natural next piece after LOB — at a fraction of LOB’s price.

1st Edition vs Unlimited
Konami printed each early English set first as 1st Edition and later as Unlimited. 1st Edition packs and cards carry a “1st Edition” marking; Unlimited do not. The cards inside are the same set list, but collectors price the two prints as different products — compare a 1st Edition box only with other 1st Edition boxes of the same set.
Checks before you buy
The listings show example photos and describe each box as sealed. Before paying for a vintage box, ask for exact-item photos of all six sides, the wrap seams and corners, and the edition marking on the box, and confirm in writing that the photos show the box that will ship. Photos help judge condition but aren’t proof of authenticity on their own.
Price context
Prices shown are EACollectibles asking prices in USD, not market valuations. To compare, use completed sales of the same set, edition and condition. Active listings are not sales.
