French Base Set 1st Edition Booster Pack: A Collector’s Buying Guide
For many U.S. collectors, a French 1st Edition Base Set pack is a more reachable way to own a sealed 1st Edition Base Set product than its English counterpart. The French release carries its own 1st Edition marking, and the pack is a genuine piece of the European launch of the game.

How French 1st Edition differs from English
The French release uses French-language card text and packaging (“Cartes à Jouer et à Collectionner”) and marks its first print as “Édition 1”. It is a separate product from English 1st Edition, and its market is separate too — compare French packs only with other French packs.
Weight labels and pricing
Light and Heavy versions are listed at very different prices. Heavy means expected to contain a holo or better, by EACollectibles’ own classification; ask for the written Heavy Pack Policy terms before choosing it. Check the table above for which variants currently accept orders.
Before you pay
- Ask for exact-item photos showing the Édition 1 marking and both crimps.
- Ask how the pack was sourced; the listing says sealed products come from box breaks, collection acquisitions or distributors.
- If you plan to grade or resell, factor in that French packs are a smaller market in the U.S.
Buying in the USA
Prices are in USD. Checkout accepts Bitcoin or USDC; shipping is calculated from your destination country and shown before you place the order, and every payment is checked by hand before the order is confirmed. Read the Shipping Policy and Refund Policy, or email support@eacollectible.com with questions before ordering.
